Ást Healthcare Services is a telehealth-based geriatric psychiatric practice founded by Love G.K. Jones, PMHNP-BC. I provide psychiatric evaluations, individualized medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for older adults through secure telehealth visits.

The name Ást comes from the Icelandic word for love. It reflects my commitment to compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care.

Seeking psychiatric care can feel unfamiliar or difficult. My goal is to create a supportive space where older adults feel heard, understood, and included in decisions about their care.

About Ást Healthcare Services

Mission

My mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based geriatric psychiatric care in an area with limited access to specialized services for older adults. Through thoughtful assessment, individualized medication management, and supportive psychotherapy, I work to support symptom relief, facilitate healing, and improve quality of life.

I recognize that mental health concerns may occur alongside medical conditions, life transitions, caregiving responsibilities, grief, and other social stressors. I take time to understand each patient’s history, concerns, strengths, and goals so that treatment decisions reflect both clinical needs and what matters most to the individual.

Mental health concerns can occur alongside medical conditions, life changes, caregiving responsibilities, grief, and other stressors. I take time to understand each patient’s history, concerns, strengths, and goals.

My approach emphasizes careful assessment, clear communication, and shared decision-making. Medication management is thoughtful and individualized, with attention to effectiveness and side effects. Supportive psychotherapy may be included when appropriate to help patients cope with emotional concerns and life changes.

Family members and caregivers can play an important role in care. With the patient’s permission, I welcome their involvement in treatment discussions and care coordination when appropriate.

When a patient would benefit from ongoing or more intensive psychotherapy, I provide referrals and coordinate care with an appropriate therapist or behavioral health professional.

How I Can Help

My Vision

My vision is to expand access to thoughtful geriatric psychiatric care for older adults in the community. Care is guided by clinical needs as well as each person’s values, relationships, daily life, and goals.

What matters most to you? By listening closely and working in partnership with patients—and, when appropriate, their families and caregivers—I aim to support well-being and quality of life.
